So have y’all been watching Pose on FX or y’all been fake supporting on here or clicks?
Ryan Murphy’s summer hit Pose made television history this year by assembling the largest cast of transgender actors ever to appear as series regulars on a scripted show. As Pose wraps up it’s first season on FX, let’s get into the legendary ladies that define this important cast.
Indya Moore | Good Sis Angel
Indya Moore is a beautiful 22-year-old model from New York. Prior to staring in Pose, she appeared in music videos such as “Don’t Pull Away” by J. Views and indie films including Saturday Church (2017), which did cute at the Tribeca Film Festival.
As far as Angel, I love sis as story but she gotta wake up and see that cawcajun man ain’t gonna be there when white fish from that horrible Fantastic Four reboot comes for her husband.
MJ Rodriguez | Blanca Da Haus Motha Of Evangelista
MJ Rodriguez began her career on stage as a theater actor, where she earned a Clive Barnes Award for her legendary role of Angel in an Off-Broadway production of Rent. She also has several television credits to her name, such as Luke Cage, The Carrie Diaries, andNurse Jackie.
As far as Blanca is concerned, the Haus Motha Of Evangelista really needs to pull it together to beat Auntie Abundance at the Mother’s Day ball. I want Blanca to get her things but her kids are stressing both of us out.
Dominique Jackson | Auntie Elektra Abundance
You may have caught the gorgeous Dominique Jackson on 2016 hit television reality series Strut. Dominique is most known for sharing her story in documentaries including Visible: The LGBTQ Caribbean Diaspora and My Truth, My Story. She also authored the memoir The Transsexual From Tobago.
As for Auntie Abundance, I live for her. I’ll admit she serves me strong Naomi Campbell as an employer realness but I love a woman with confidence who knows she owns it but wants to own everything else. Easily my favorite character on the show. Although my heart is with the House Of Evangelista my edges belong to the Haus of Abundance.
Hailie Sahar | Little Niece LuLu
Hailie Sahar is a recording artist and has also appeared on Mr. Robot and Transparent as Adriana. She dropped her music video for “California Dreams” at the beginning of 2017, which showcased “equality, empowerment, and an overall positive message.”
As for Little Niece LuLu, she needs a better storyline for season 2. She was heavily overlooked this season and could really snatch Auntie Abundance with her Aja from drag race looks.
Angelica Ross | C’mon Candy
Angelica Ross is an entrepreneur, actor and trans rights advocate, who founded TransTech Social Enterprises, a talent incubator that fosters the careers of LGBTQ people with a “focus on economically empowering the T.” Angelica is Emmy-nominated for the web series Her Story.
Now Candy holds a special place in my heart because I can relate to sis just wanting to belong and grow despite parental hold ups and body shaming. I believe she can do things season 2 and start her own house with Lil Niece LuLu. She always leaves me saying CMON CANDY.
Pose will go down in television history for assembling the largest cast of transgender actors ever to appear as series regulars on a scripted show. With trans activist and author Janet Mock working as a writer-producer for the show with Transparent alumni Our Lady J, the show authentically portrays the story of its characters.
