Kid Cudi’s decision to seek help for depression and mental illness has sent waves through the hip hop world. From twitter think pieces to a certain rapper addressing the issue in the middle of his concert.
Comedian Pete Davidson stopped by The Breakfast Club and discussed alot of topics with the morning crew, including his upcoming special, his friendship with Kid Cudi and his descision to seek treatment.
Davidson told the hosts, “I texted with [Cudi] last Monday. He’s in pretty good spirits. I think i might go see him next week in Los Angeles. But yeah, he’s in a good place.” The 22-year-old Saturday Night Live actor says, “[Cudi] is getting help right now. He’s doing really well right now. I’ve been in and out of things like that, and I think that’s why a lot of kids my age can relate to Cudi, and people love him so much, because he’s a very emotional dude, and it saves all of us. I would’ve killed myself. Absolutely. 100 percent. I truly believe if Man on the Moon didn’t come out, I wouldn’t be here.”
Davidson and Cudi became friends after shooting a few promotional videos together for the comedian’s upcoming special.
