San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Colin Kaepernick held strong this Sunday, taking a knee during the national anthem in his game against the Buffalo Bills.  Kaepernick had not thrown an regular-season pass since Week 9 of 2015 due to shoulder surgery.

As the regular season began, Kaepernick began to protest police brutality in the African American Community, dropping to one knee. Since the he has been joined by other players, protesting in various ways.

Sports Illustrated writer Robert Klemko posted images of T-shirts, which are being sold for $10, that feature disturbing anti-Kaepernick imagery. It includes an image of the quarterback with a rifle scope trained directly on his chest paired with the caption, “Wanted, Notorious Disgrace to America.”

There were fans who stood with Kaepernick and held signs that read things like “Bills Fans for Black Lives,” and “Kneel for Racial Justice.”
